Coraspin contains a substance called acetylsalicylic acid. Acetylsalicylic acid shows its effect by preventing the aggregation of cells called platelets, which are in the blood and enable blood to clot. That is, it prevents blood from clotting. Because of this feature, it is used in some heart diseases.
Coraspin is in tablet form, the tablets are white in color and are available in packages of 30 tablets.
It is designed with an enteric coating to reduce stomach complaints in long-term use. In enteric-coated drugs, the coating on the tablet allows the drug to be absorbed from the intestine instead of the stomach.
What Is Coraspin Used For?
Coraspin is available in tablet form. Each tablet contains 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid. Acetylsalicylic acid prevents the coagulation cells, called platelets, in the blood from coming together and clustering. Because of this feature, it is used in the treatment of some heart diseases.
Due to its anticoagulant feature, Coraspin is used in chest pain originating from the heart, prevention of occlusion of heart vessels (heart attack) in patients at risk for heart attack, prevention of vascular occlusion and strokes (stroke) due to clots that may occur after heart surgery and vascular surgeries.
The coronavirus (Covid-19) enters the cells on the inner surfaces of the vessels, disrupting the structure of these cells and destroying them. The destruction of these cells can lead to the formation of clots in the vessels. The cause of most deaths due to coronavirus is organ failure due to clots in the vessels of organs such as the lungs, heart, and brain. Therefore, coraspin, which is used in heart diseases and to prevent clot formation, is also used to prevent clot formation in Covid-19 patients.
